AWARE publishes final project brief showcasing key achievements

The AWARE project has published its final project brief, presenting an overview of the project’s activities, results, and impact on the future of public warning in Europe.

From acoustic warning devices in Slovenia to digital urban panels in France and indoor warning systems in Latvia, AWARE demonstrated how Galileo EWSS alerts can be disseminated from fixed devices, delivering quick and clear public warning messages to people when disaster strikes. The project validated the operational capacity and effectiveness of the AWARE module, highlighting the value of a multi-channel approach to public warning.

Going beyond smartphone-based alerts, AWARE highlights the operational value of Galileo EWSS and supports its integration into national public warning systems for more resilient public warning capabilities across Europe.

The project is now advancing the commercialisation and real-world deployment of the AWARE module, laying the foundation for the wider adoption of satellite-based public warning systems.
